How to convert dollars to euros
A conversion has two parts: the reference calculation and the real price offered by the provider handling the money.
Start with the reference calculation
Multiply the USD amount by the USD-to-EUR rate. If USD 1 equals EUR 0.90, then USD 100 has a reference value of EUR 90. The converter performs this multiplication and shows the source date.
Ask for the delivered amount
A bank or payment service may quote a different rate, subtract a fee, or do both. Ask how many euros will arrive after every charge.
Compare like with like
Use the same send amount and delivery method for each provider. Compare the final EUR amount, timing, refund rules, and any recipient-bank fees.
- Same USD send amount.
- Same payment and delivery method.
- All fixed and percentage charges included.
- Same expected arrival date.
